Borovets expects an exciting winter season
Borovets ski resort officially opened the new ski season on December 14th, 2013. The forthcoming ski season will offer intensive sport events. The resort will host a round of the European alpine ski cup for men on February 15th and 16th, 2014. The best alpine skiers in the world will gather in Borovets for one last training session before the Winter Olympics in Sochi. The competition will be held at the Popangelov ski slope.
This season Borovets surprises all ski fans with a new contact-free chip cards which will reduce the queues at the lift stations.
Another nice innovation in the resort is the Borosport Snow Park, which will be moved at the upper part of the Popangelov ski slope. This will allow better visibility to the virtuous jumps, performed by the masters. The park will offer three zones with different difficulty – for beginners, intermediates and freestyle experts.
The old terrain of the park at Yastrebets 3 will be opened for skiers and trainings.
