Pamporovo hosts a National Winter Universiade during the period March 04-09 2013.
The event is organized by NPSS and the Association for university sport “Academic”. The event is part of a program for popularizing the winter sports amongst the student youth of Bulgaria, by holding tournaments for different types of winter sports. The initiative is driven by the purpose to create conditions for active social responsibility and educational development of mass sports among the students of higher schools in Bulgaria.
