Ski champions raised 11 000 leva in Bulgaria’s Bansko winter season opening
Ski champions raised 11 000 leva during Bansko's winter season opening tmbulgaria.com, 15 December 2010 Over 11 000 leva were raised during a charity auction, which took place in Bulgarian ski resort of Bansko. Ski champions Luc Alphand, Marc Girardelli, Petar Popangelov, Andreas Ventsel, Maria Walliser, Josef Strobl, Leonard Stock and Michael Von Groningen attended the official opening of winter season 2010/2011 in the Bulgarian winter resort on December 11. The skiers offered their belongings. Bulgarian football player Hristo Stoichkov offered his football shirt from 1992, when Barcelona football team won UEFA Champions League. A Bulgarian businessman bought Marc Girardelli’s ski gloves. Maria Walliser offered four objects.
