Borovets opened the ski season with loads of snow Heavy snowfall surprised all guests of the official ceremony for the opening of the new skiing season in Borovets on 21th December 2008. Ivan and Andrey (famous Bulgarian TV stars) welcomed all ski lovers in Borovets. %RIMG2The start of the season in the resort was marked with a brand new high speed quad on “Markudjik” 2. The investment in the new equipment was estimated on 7 million BGN and was made by Borosport. It substitutes the old drag lift and is 1 km long with a capacity for 2 400 persons per hour. Ivan and Andrey were the first to test the new lift. %LIMG4The party went on with a competition for snowmen building and a lottery with 100 prizes for the guests of the resort. The “Dirty pitchers” band took care for the party atmosphere in the resort. Borosport informed that the prices for the lift cards include ski insurance. Night skiing will be again the main attraction in the resort for the season, starting from 9.00 PM every evening.
