Official opening of the European Biathlon Competition in Bansko Information by Bansko municipal The European Biathlon Competition in Bansko will be opened with a torch procession and concert of Nikolina Chakardakova (famous Bulgarian national singer) The official opening of the European Biathlon competition will take place in 19th February 2007 in the centre of Bansko. The teams will perform a torch procession from the “st. Trinity” church to the town’s central square. It will begin in 19.00 o’clock. The procession will be preceded by a music show. The competition will be opened by the president of the International Biathlon Union and by the head of the Organization Biathlon Committee – Vasil Tonchev. After the ceremony, residents and guests of Bansko will be entertained by show programs and concert by Nikolina Chakardakova, guest- performer, and local folklore ensembles. All residents and guests of Bansko mountain resort are welcomed to the official opening of the European Biathlon competition, 2007 on 19th February from 19.00 o’clock.
